The LAMP Science Operations Center archives LAMP uncalibrated science data to the Imaging Node of the Planetary Data System (PDS). This data set contains uncalibrated LAMP data from the Commissioning, Nominal, Science, Extended Science, Second Extended Science and Third Extended Science Mission phases of the LRO mission. Mission phases are defined in the table below. This data set contains the data from a range of days and all supporting directories. The data sets may span multiple volumes. LAMP Instrument Configuration Change ==================================== At 04:19:32 UTC on October 5, 2016 (DOY 279), the LAMP failsafe door was opened. This increased the total size of the instrument's light-admitting aperture by about 10% of the size of the airglow aperture. FITS files containing data taken after this LAMP configuration change are identified by the keyword "FAILSAFE" (with value = "T") in their primary headers. The instrument effective area used to produce the calibrated LAMP data has been adjusted by this factor in the pipeline code for v3 RDR's. Version 4 RDR's have had this change backed out, and will be corrected for in a later RDR version. Volume Format ============= This volume has been formatted according to the ISO-9660 Level 2 Interchange Standard. File Formats ============ The data files are presented in both the PDS and FITS form. In the latter case, a FITS to PDS translator program has been used to create the detached PDS labels for each corresponding FITS file. Volume Contents =============== Files on this volume are organized into a set of subdirectories below the top-level directory. The following table shows the structure of these directories. Volume directory structure: |-AAREADME.TXT Volume content and format information. |-ERRATA.TXT Text information describing data errors/anomalies. |-VOLDESC.CAT Description of the contents of this volume. |-CALIB |-CATALOG |-DATA |-DOCUMENT |-GEOMETRY |-INDEX Directory name Description CALIB Calibration files needed to use the EDR data. CATALOG Descriptions of data set, instrument, spacecraft, and mission. DATA Entry point to subdirectories (named in the format YYYYDDD, corresponding to the year and day of year for the date of the start of data acquisition) containing the actual LAMP EDR data files and their detached PDS labels. DOCUMENT Documentation files. GEOMETRY SPICE kernels describing the observational geometry. INDEX Volume and cumulative index tables.
